ABC Launches Two New Boston Medical Documentary Shows

BOSTON EMSABC News is getting ready for a new set of medical documentaries. The ABC unit has in recent years unveiled summer documentary series that offer provocative, inside looks at some of the busiest emergency-room operations in the nation. Starting in July, ABC will air two new ones: “Save My Life: Boston Trauma” and “Boston EMS.”

“Save My Life: Boston Trauma” will tell the stories of top-tier trauma teams inside the emergency rooms and operating rooms of the hospitals including the Boston Medical Center, Massachusetts General, and Brigham and Women’s. The series, which will be shown in six one-hour episodes, will debut Sunday, July 19, at 10 p.m. ET. Starting Saturday, July 25, all subsequent episodes of will air on Saturdays at 10 p.m. ET.

In “Boston EMS,” viewers will ride along with teams of first responders from Boston Emergency Services, one of America’s most seasoned team of first responders. This group also answered the call two years ago when bombs exploded at the Boston Marathon. “Boston EMS”will air in five one-hour episodes. The first premieres Saturday, July 25, at 9 p.m. ET.

Terence Wrong is the executive producer of “Save My Life: Boston Trauma” and “Boston EMS.” Erica Baumgart is the senior producer. Andy Genovese, Aysu Grodowski and Alexa Coyle are series producers. Monica DelaRosa is story and digital producer. Carly Stipek is field producer. “Save My Life: Boston Trauma” and “Boston EMS” are produced by ABC’s Lincoln Square Productions for ABC News.
