The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Neo Atlas 1469 for PS Vita, the latest entry in Artdink’s simulation game series. It is due out in Japan on October 27 for 6,980 yen.

The game is set in Europe during the Age of Discovery, where the world’s appearance was still unclear. The player and protagonist is a Portuguese merchant who will carry out trade while exploring.

Neo Atlas 1469 is a new world discovery simulation game where everything is determined by belief or non-belief. Players will listen to the reports of admirals that come back from exploration, and from there create an original map. You’ll hear trustworthy things, as well as suspicious things such as monsters appearing. You’ll record on the map only what you believe, and it will change. Tutorials will be included all throughout the game as to assist the player.

Familiar admirals from previous games will appear, including Francisco Perez and Antonio Gomez. The screenshots in the magazine show not only the normal world map, they also show various maps like Atlantis, Mu, and a strange archipelago.

Development is currently 80 percent complete.
