The newly unveiled Foursquare update is also now known to have a special extra for Android 4.0 users. Those who have a Galaxy Nexus or another phone that supports Android Beam can use the NFC feature to share a location, a list, or themselves to someone else just by bringing the phones close together.

Foursquare’s addition gives Android a rare platform-first edge on the check-in service, where iOS usually goes first. iOS 5 is still the only platform with automatic notifications of certain check-in possibilities through Foursquare’s Radar.
