Apple has posted minor updates to two different programs, its Mac-based slideshow program Keynote and its Windows-based iCloud Control Panel for iCloud subscribers who are on PCs. The Keynote update improves the handling of large slideshows in Mac OS X Lion, while the iCloud Control Panel update does not specifically mention what has changed from the initial 1.0 release, which came out when iCloud debuted in mid-October.

In addition to addressing issues that arise when working with large presentations, the 5.1.1 update for Keynote also includes stability and accessibility enhancements. It weighs in at 29.94MB, requires Keynote 5.1, and works with OS X 10.6.6 and later. The update does not affect Keynote for iOS devices.

The update for the iCloud Control Panel for Windows is described by Apple as being “required for Windows PC owners to setup syncing for Photo Stream, contacts, calendars and bookmarks data across their iOS devices.” It is 40.03MB in size and requires at least Windows XP SP2 or Windows 7. For syncing purposes, Microsoft Outlook 2007 or later is also required. Bookmark syncing is supported with Safari (latest version) or Internet Explorer 8 or later.
