Xbox 360 Update Launches Tuesday

Own an Xbox 360! Brace yourself for some major changes kicking off this Tuesday.

Microsoft plans to launch a dashboard update through Xbox Live that introduces a fresh look and several features, such as live television streaming and increased support for Kinect voice commands.

Among the first content partners available for the Xbox’s television service: Epix and Today (MSNBC).

Additional partners such as Verizon FiOS, Vevo, Vudu, iHeartRadio and TMZ make their debuts later this month. Xfinity On Demand, HBO Go, CinemaNow and MLB.tv launch early next year.

Microsoft will also integrate search engine Bing into Xbox Live, bringing up results from entertainment apps included on the console.

Other features include improved family settings, Facebook sharing, cloud storage for Xbox Live profiles and game saves, and Beacons, a way to flag friends about games you want to play or movies you want to watch.
