Dedicated servers seem to be the in thing for console gaming lately, yet they’ve been running on PC since the day Ethernet cards got cheap.
TimeGate Studios, the developers of the recently launched Section 8: Prejudice, are allowing console gamers to rent Xbox 360 servers that support up to 32 players, and then fully customize the settings and all of this is done through a simple web-based user interface.
Adel Chaveleh, the President of TimeGate Studios commented on the promising launch saying;
“Players who rent dedicated servers from GamerServers can customise their server so they can play with their clans and friends how and when they want. It’s all about giving more control to the player. Our partnership with GamerServers helps us provide a quality server for Xbox gamers never seen before, and we’re proud to reveal this feature for Section 8: Prejudice in a matter that makes setup and management of a dedicated server a no-brainer.”
