Scott Pelley will leaving the anchor of the CBS Evening News soon per a report in Variety. He will still be with the network as he will return full time as reporter on 60 Minutes.
Anthony Mason, who serves as weekend anchor of CBS This Morning is rumored to take over for will take over for Scott Pelley on an interim basis at CBS Evening News.
Mason is expected to serve in the role for the summer. Pelley is expected to return to the anchor chair before leaving the broadcast permanently.
