Filming has officially begun on Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Looper director Rian Johnson’s upcoming murder mystery Knives Out with the director himself tweeting the news.
Shooting is taking place in the Boston suburb of Maynard, Massachusetts under the fake title ‘Morning Bell’ with the former site of Gruber Bros. Furniture Store having been turned into a laundromat for the film which is filming there today.
Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield and Ana de Armas star in the film which is described as a modern-day murder mystery in the classic Agatha Christie whodunit style along with Johnson’s own original voice. Toni Collette has also just been announced as joining the cast.
Johnson will complete Knives Out before he directs the first in a new trilogy set in the Star Wars universe.
