Skype is constantly looking to add more features to continue its popularity among users. They have now added a new feature called ‘Send Money’ which will allow users to transfer funds using their latest version of the Microsoft Skype mobile app. For this to happen, Skype has partnered with Paypal.

Now, all you need to do while conversing with your friends about the money you owe them or vice versa is swipe right on your Skype mobile app and tap the Send Money feature and you can finish the transfer in a jiffy.

When you use this feature for the first time, you will be asked to confirm your location. This is to check if the feature is available in your location. If yes, you will need to link your Paypal account to your Skype profile and within a few moments, the money will be on its way.

So, make it a point to ensure that you have the latest version of the Skype mobile app. Even if your friend to whom you are transferring money has an older version, it will still work out. If either of you does not have a Paypal account, you will be prompted to create one.

In order to use this feature, both you and the recipient of the money should reside in one of the 22 countries in which this feature is supported. Also, you have the option of sending money in different currencies as well. So, sitting in the USA, send money to your daughter in Euros as she is studying in London. Easy as a click!
