IDG World Expo — the organizers of the annual Macworld/iWorld conference — are pushing the date of the 2014 event to between March 27th and 29th, according to an announcement. The conference was previously scheduled for the first three days of February at Moscone West in San Francisco. As a part of the change, the expo will also be relocating to Moscone North.
IDG explains that it’s hoping to making things easier on both exhibitors and attendees. The earlier date would have overlapped with the Super Bowl, and shifted Macworld from a Thursday-Saturday timeframe to an unusual Saturday-Monday schedule. Moving to late March also distances the event from the holiday season, the Consumer Electronics Show, and winter weather.
