Queen Latifah is set to star in the inspirational true-life drama Hope’s Wish at Alcon Entertainment, Walden Media and Warner Bros. Pictures.

The true story tale is based on Hope Stout, a precocious twelve-year-old girl diagnosed with a life-threatening disease who sets out on a mission to fund the wishes of 155 other health-challenged children with the help of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the community of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Andrew Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Steven P. Wegner, Val Hill and Yale Badik are producing and filming begins April 9th in North Carolina.

Laurie Collyer (SherrybabyFurlough) will direct the film from screenwriter Diana Ossana (Brokeback Mountain) adapted from Stuart & Shelby Stout’s non-fiction novel.
