CrushFTP 7 Now Has Visual Job Scheduling, Server Dashboard

CrushFTP has released a major update of its self-named enterprise-oriented FTP software, v7.0. One change for enterprise users only is the addition of a job scheduler, which can also run jobs in intervals. Events in the app now have a visual task-designing interface, and the progress of tasks can be monitored in real-time. Tasks are also more resilient, surviving server restarts and allowing handoffs to secondary servers. A dashboard is available to server administrators.

ZIP files and HTML5 video streaming are now supported in the web interface; while streaming MP4 files, users can skip to any point. An SSL certificate manager has been added, and administrators can now delegate limited administration functions to other users. Automatic port forwarding is available for routers, and likewise, the software now has its own diagnostics tools for server ports in order to check if a connection is working. File sharing and handling options have been improved to support things like automating email attachments and searching file contents. A new hotkey, lastly, lets users quickly hunt for parameters, settings, and users.

“Normal” licenses cost between $40 and $100, the only differences being the number of simultaneous users allowed. Enterprise licenses start at $1,000, and offers perks like extended support and more features; apart from the job scheduler, these include things like free updates, email attachment monitoring, and faster transfers regardless of latency.
