The Hollywood Reporter has posted that Austin Abrams (The Walking Dead) has joined the fourth season of NBC’s drama This Is Us.
Abrams will play a recurring character named Marc during one of the series’ 1990’s storylines. Marc will meet teen Kate (Hannah Zelie) in a record store and will play a love interest for the Pearsons’ daughter. Abrams’ first episode will be “Flip a Coin,” premiering on Tuesday, October 15.
The cast includes Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Justin Hartley, Chrissy Metz, Sterling K. Brown, Susan Kelechi Watson, Chris Sullivan, Michael Angarano, and Ron Cephas Jones.
Fogelman serves as writer and executive producer with Don Todd. Jess Rosenthal, Charlie Gogolak and directors Ken Olin, John Requa, and Glenn Ficarra also executive produce. This Is Us is produced by 20th Century Fox Television.
New episodes of This Is Us air every Tuesday night on NBC.
