Sony has extended its Cyber-shot compact camera range with a snapper designed for self portraits. The Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 is unusually designed to look like a perfume bottle, with the main camera sensor housed in a transparent top section able to rotate 180 degrees, allowing it to be used for normal photographs as well as selfies.

Using a 19.2-megapixel camera behind an F2.0 wide-angle 21mm lens, Slashgear reports the camera section also includes a flash decorated with two Swarovski crystals. On the main body is a 3.3-inch OLED panel with touch controls, while on the side are shutter and power buttons, with the camera also including the ability to record 1080p video, and uses a microSD card for storage. Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity allows for the KW11 to be paired with a smartphone and the PlayMemories Mobile app for quick sharing of images to social networks.

Sony is accepting pre-orders for the Cyber-shot DSC-KW11 in China for RMB 5,199 (approximately $845) before its release at the end of September. While it is expected to go on sale in other areas of Asia, it is unlikely to appear in North America or Europe anytime soon.
