Skype’s iOS Apps Receive Two-Way HD Calling, Improved Chat Sync

Social messaging platform Skype has updated its iPhone and iPad apps with the release of Version 4.17 launched today. Users can message, voice or video call friends and family who are also on the service for free with Skype’s service. Version 4.17 has added two-way HD video calls, supported on the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display.

Additionally, with the update comes improved chat sync function across all devices. Skype is free to download for iPhone and iPad through the iTunes store.
