Filming is expected to start soon and the Russos have shared a new Avengers: Infinity War scouting photo that you can view in full below! It looks like something Doctor Strange related?
Originally a two-parter, Avengers: Infinity War is now the name of solely the third film in the series, with the upcoming fourth Avengers film set to feature a different title. Both of the films will be shot back to back, an unprecedented move for Marvel Studios at this point. Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, who return after Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War, will direct the features.
It remains to be seen which characters will be the primary focus of the films, though we do know that Captain Marvel will appear in the movies ahead of her solo movie in 2019 and that the film will feature the combined forces of The Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely will pen the scripts for the two features which the Russos will film entirely in IMAX. Composer Alan Silvestri will also score both of the features. Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War is slated for a release in theaters on May 4, 2018. The follow-up will then open on May 3, 2019.
