Revol Wireless has indicated that it is closing up shop and will cease operations on January 16.
The company has already shuttered about half its retail stores between Cleveland and Indianapolis. It’s unclear what will happen to Revol’s CDMA-based wireless network, though Sprint recently purchased 12 PCS licenses from Revol.
Boost Mobile, one of Sprint’s prepaid units, is offering Revol customers a free phone and free month of service if they switch to Boost before December 24. Revol thanked its customers for their business.
