This morning, Marvel announced a comic prelude to their upcoming film Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Written by Peter David with art by Rock-He Kim, the comic will see Captain America, along with Black Widow and Agent Brock “Crossbones” Rumlow, going after a mysterious “Zodiac” device in Chicago (a call back to the Agent Carter One-Shot anyone?).
“They know what S.H.I.E.L.D. has told them: that they’re looking for the Zodiac, but they know little to nothing about it,” David said. “To the Black Widow and Rumlow, that’s fine. They’re okay with doing what they’re told. Cap, however, is way more suspicious and wants a clearer idea of what’s going on, and is annoyed that S.H.I.E.L.D. isn’t big on being forthcoming.”
Captain America: The Winter Soldier will hit theaters on April 4, 2014.
