The DDR3 memory kits will feature CAS 9 or CAS 10 timings and will all operate at a voltage of 1.5 V. They are also built to Plug and Play. Systems with XMP profiles will automatically clock the memory at their respective frequencies which will range from 1333 MHz to 1866 MHz. These specifications aren’t particularly impressive, but if the price is right, it won’t matter all that much to the target audience.

“We are excited to offer our newest addition to the HyperX DRAM family for entry-level enthusiasts who want to maximize their gaming and user experience,” said Lawrence Yang, business manager, Kingston HyperX. “This is a great product for someone looking to upgrade their gaming system at an affordable price.”

The kits will come in 48 flavors. There will be three frequencies to choose from (1333 MHz, 1600 MHz, and 1866 MHz) as well as four colors (red, blue, black and white). In addition, there are, of course, the capacity numbers, which are either 4 GB or 8 GB per module, and kits will come with either one or two of each modules, making for kits ranging from 4 GB to 16 GB.

No word on pricing yet, but as indicated, these will be perfectly affordable units.
