Google Adds Instant Playback When Searching for Music

Google recently added a new feature to Google Search for Android devices that makes it faster than ever to listen to new artists.

From now on, when users ask Google Search about an artist or band, they’ll be able to tap a link in the search results and play the artist’s music in one of the music apps installed on the phone. The playback feature works with Google Play, Spotify, YouTube, iHeartRadio, TuneIn Radio, and Rdio.

Instant playback through Google Search only works in the U.S., but Google hopes to expand it to more markets and music apps over time.
