Dell has introduced a new budget notebook aimed at students and businesses, as well as a storage system for the education market. The Latitude 3330 is a lightweight notebook with a 13.3-inch, 1,366×768-resolution display, while the new Mobile Computing Cart can be used to securely store and transport up to 30 notebooks at the same time.

The Latitude 3330 can be configured to use a range of Intel processors, from Celeron to Core i5, between 2GB and 6GB of RAM, and options for Windows 7, Windows 8, or Ubuntu 12.04 as the operating system. Storage options include a 128GB SSD, a 320GB or 640GB hard drive, or a 500GB combined SSD and hard disk. It also has a 720p HD webcam, Wi-Fi and WiDi support, VGA, HDMI, and USB 3.0 ports, and optional USB docking.

The Mobile Computing Cart comes in managed and unmanaged options, and is able to hold a wide range of notebook sizes and form factors. Managed carts allow for remote management and IT updates of stored devices, helping campus IT staff by allowing for software updates and changes without needing to take the notebook out of storage.

Available in late April, the Latitude 3330 starts from $419, while the Mobile Computing Cart will start from $1,900 unmanaged, $2,800 managed.
