aliciaassassinSwedish actress Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) is in talks to join both the video game adaptation Assassin’s Creed and the new Bourne movie, according to Deadline.

The site adds that “there’s still some work to do to get the schedules aligned but it appears likely that, whatever happens with those two projects, Vikander is likely to drop off The Circle.”

The Circle is set to star Tom Hanks and that film now reportedly has an offer out to Emma Watson (“Harry Potter” films) for the young female lead.

In 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures’ Assassin’s Creed movie, Vikander would be joining Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. The film, to be directed by Justin Kurzel, is scheduled to start shooting this August for a December 21, 2016 release. The film is being co-financed by RatPac and Alpha Pictures. Frank Marshall, Arnon Milchan, Jean-Julien Baronnet, Conor McCaughan, Fassbender and Pat Crowley are producing. Bill Collage, Adam Cooper and Michael Lesslie wrote the script.

Universal Pictures has set a July 29 release next year for the new Bourne movie, which has director Paul Greengrass reuniting with Matt Damon. Damon and Greengrass are writing the screenplay along with Christopher Rouse. Damon and Greengrass are also producing alongside Gregory Goodman and Frank Marshall.
