Vizio said it will soon release three new 3D TVs into the XVT series, including the 55-inch XVT553SV, 47-inch XVT473SV and 42-inch XVT3D424SV. All have access to Vizio Internet Apps. They are also based on the existing, non-3D XVT-series sets of the same respective sizes, but add 480Hz panels to enable the 3D experience.

The required 3D active shutter glasses are not included with the sets, and need to be purchased separately. The sets have dual-band Wi-Fi integrated, as well as a Bluetooth remote control with a hardware QWERTY keyboard. The larger sets have full-screen LED backlighting with smart dimming while the 42-inch model only gets edge-based LED backlighting.

At the same time, Vizio detailed its VBR333 and VBR334 3D Blu-ray players, which through Wi-Fi have access to similar apps. They arrive this month, with the former priced at $190 and the latter at $180.

Also unveiled was the XWR100 dual-band wireless Internet router made for media streaming and focused most on HD video. It operates on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands at the same time and is shipping now for $100.  The former factor makes us wonder if a rebadged Cisco unit.

The HDTVs arrive in stores later in November, with a wider release in December. The XVT3D554SV will cost $2,400, the XVT3D474SV $1,800 and the XVT3D424SV $1,400.
