Virgin Mobile Picks Samsung for First Android Phone

Virgin Mobile has confirmed that it has selected Samsung’s Intercept handset as its first Android offering, according to the company’s Facebook page.

The Intercept  has a QWERTY slider paired with a 3.2-inch LCD touchscreen and Android 2.1. other features include a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS receiver, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Virgin has yet to announce pricing information or a launch date for the Intercept.
