ViewSonic has introduced a 24-inch LCD monitor for Europe with 3D capabilities. The V3D241wm-LED has a native 1080p resolution and a very high 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (1,000:1 static). The panel refreshes at the 3D standard 120Hz and has a mini USB port to power the needed active shutter glasses.
The panel has a 5ms typical pixel response time with 2ms at peak. Connections include DVI-D, HDMI and VGA. The monitor has a pair of built-in 2W speakers.
The monitor is now available in the UK, priced at the equivalent of $530. If or when the LCD will arrive in North America hasn’t been revealed.
