Spokane isn’t the only city getting LTE on June 16th.  Verizon detailed one of its largest expansions yet with notice that 21 cities would get its LTE network on June 16. The upgrade will focus the most on Michigan and Wisconsin, with Ann Arbor, Flint, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Madison, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, and Wisconsin Dells all getting 4G. Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are also major focuses as Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Dayton, Springfield, Erie, and Harrisburg are all getting the faster networks.

Other areas getting the update include Greenville-Spartanburg in South Carolina; Hartford, Connecticut; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, along with two others that hadn’t been mentioned as of this writing.

The upgrade follows nine new areas just last week and represents one of the largest upgrades in the network’s fledgling history. Verizon launched with 38 cities and will have added more than three quarters as many cities in just the past two weeks.

Long-term plans should roughly double the potential reach of Verizon’s coverage by mid-2012 and complete coverage by 2013.
