Verizon’s FiOS TV customers can now watch two new high-definition channels this month, as the big V launches Nat Geo WILD HD and Investigation Discovery HD. These two channels join FiOS TV’s channel lineup, which includes up to 142 HD channels and more than 3,300 HD video-on-demand titles every month.
“We consistently look for ways to enhance the FiOS TV channel lineup, and adding Nat Geo WILD HD and Investigation Discovery HD helps provide our customers with the high-def programming they’ve been requesting,” said Terry Denson, vice president of content strategy and acquisition for Verizon. “The addition of new HD channels, along with recent launches of multicultural content and more, is part of our ongoing commitment to lead the industry in the scope and quality of our programming. And with the network built for HD, Verizon delivers the ultimate experience to each FiOS TV customer’s home.”
Nat Geo WILD HD, a new cable network dedicated to extraordinary nature and wildlife programming, is available starting Monday (July 19) for FiOS TV customers in Maryland and Virginia and will be in all markets by the end of the week. Available on FiOS TV Channel 632, Nat Geo WILD immerses viewers in the mysterious and entertaining lives of nature’s creatures of land, sea and air. Nat Geo WILD is available in standard definition on FiOS TV Channel 132.
Investigation Discovery HD is now available on FiOS TV Channel 623 in all FiOS markets. The channel is the source for real investigations focused on key issues that shape our culture, define civilization and examine the human condition. Providing compelling, fact-based programming, Investigation Discovery presents dynamic stories of human nature. The channel is available in standard definition on FiOS TV Channel 123.
