TwitVid.com Launching New Features

TwitVid.com has announced the launch of a suite of new features that improve the way people share videos online. Available immediately are two first of its kind features, including real-time video search and video analytics, and virtual gifting.

TwitVid.com’s real-time search feature lets anyone see the most popular videos on Twitter, at that moment in time. The search engine aggregates all TwitVid and YouTube video links currently being shared on Twitter. The proprietary real-time ranking algorithm then ranks the videos based on their relevancy to the search term, current popularity and buzz on Twitter, as well as by their freshness, with the newest videos ranking highest.

TwitVid.com’s video analytics tool is the first of its kind on Twitter, enabling members to track their tweeted videos online by day, week, month or total number. Users can see how many times their video has been viewed, the global location of clicks and the top people linking others to your video.

“The social web is constantly changing, and there is a growing demand for new tools that help to enrich the Twitter video experience by letting you share in a smarter way,” said Mo Adham, Co-Founder of TwitVid.com. “Now, for the first time, Twitter video users can evaluate the success of their videos based on the information our analytics tool gathers about the performance of their TwitVids around the web. This is incredibly valuable for musicians, celebrities, publicists, marketers, bloggers, and others as a way to evaluate the success of their online video campaigns.”

TwitVid’s virtual gift feature enhances the video tweeting experience by enabling members to connect and interact with their favorite TwitViders. For example, during Disney-star Demi Lovato’s official music video premier launch on TwitVid.com on November 12, 2009, her fans presented her with more than 1,200 virtual gifts ranging from teddy bears to kisses. Virtual gifts launched in conjunction with Lovato’s music video premier. The video received more than 300,000 views in just 24 hours. Celebrities are the largest recipients of gifts, with the most popular being: Demi Lovato, Milla Jovovich and Juanes.

TwitVid.com gives users the ability to upload, view and share videos in both HD and SD sooner than any other app, which is critical in the Twitter environment where people want to post videos as quickly as possible, but don’t want to sacrifice quality, reliability and ease of use. Celebrities, musical artists, and professional athletes have chosen TwitVid.com as their preferred mobile video tweeting service, including: Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Demi Lovato, The Jonas Brothers, The Used, Dane Cook, Demi Moore, Coldplay, Nine Inch Nails, Alexa Chung, Ciara, Stephen Fry, Mary J Blige, The Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA and the PGA.
