Nintendo has rolled out a new update to the 3DS/2DS system. This new updates brings the firmware version up to 11.6.0-39U. So, what’s included in this newest update? Well, honestly, nothing much.
It’s become a very common occurrence in the 3DS universe to have these small updates crop up out of nowhere with the same patch notes: “Improvements have been made to the system stability.” These ‘stability improvements’ are just Nintendo’s roundabout way of saying: “We found a security exploit and patched it up. That is all.” Of course the company would never want to actually admit something like that, which is why it continously uses that generic ‘stability improvement’ line. But even so, you still actually need to download the update in order to access the eShop and play online.
