T-Mobile will switch from LG to Chinese manufacturer Huawei for its supply of myTouch-branded handsets, PocketNow found out. The reason for the switch isn’t known, but the two handsets are seen below, with the U8680 on the left and the U8730 on the right. They are said to differ only with the inclusion of the hardware QWERTY keyboard on the second device.

Specs are thin, but include Android 2.3 and 800×480-resolution touchscreens. The phones are expected to be affordably priced and launch at T-Mobile sometime this spring, likely by the end of May. The CTIA’s spring show is due in May.

T-Mobile also has Springboard tablets coming from Huawei, and AT&T also carries Huawei smartphones.

HTC was the first handset maker to supply the carrier with the myTouch devices in 2009.
