Following the teaser back in June, 20th Century Fox has now released the full trailer for Shame and 12 Years a Slave filmmaker contemporary Chicago-set thriller Steve McQueen’s Widows.
A remake of the 1980s Lynda La Plante mini-series, the story begins when an armed robbery goes wrong and the four men involved are killed. The widows they left behind, four womenwith nothing in common except the debt left behind by their spouses, take fate into their own hands and set out to finish the job their husband’s started.
“Gone Girl” writer Gillian Flynn co-wrote the script and the cast includes a murderer’s row of talent which also includes Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Daniel Kaluuya, Brian Tyree Henry, Jon Bernthal, Robert Duvall, Garret Dillahunt, Jacki Weaver, Lukas Haas and Carrie Coon.
Widows opens November 16th.
