Star Trek Online Coming to PS4 and Xbox One – Watch the Trailer

Perfect World Entertainment has a big piece of news today. The company announced that its free-to-play MMO Star Trek Online is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 this fall.

The game originally released for PC in 2010. Console players can expect over 130 story missions featuring a cast of Star Trek actors that include Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine), Michael Dorn (Worf), Tim Russ (Tuvok) and others. The game’s two expansions and major updates will also be available on PS4 and Xbox One.

Perfect World went on to say that developer √ has made “considerable updates” to Star Trek Online’s engine to allow for “upgraded visuals and an enhanced user experience for console.”

It’s not Cryptic’s first console release, as Neverwinter is already available on Xbox One. For Star Trek online, the developer says it has “created a control scheme that allows players to navigate both the space and ground combat with ease.”
