Sprint just announced it will bring the rugged Sanyo Taho handset to its cell phone line.. Built by Kyocera, the handset sports a two-megapixel camera with a flash and video recording function housed in a shell that’s resistant to dust, shock and vibration. It can also withstand blowing rain and submersion in water thanks to a military standard 810G rating.

The flip phone also has stereo Bluetooth and supports 32GB microSDHC memory cards. Enterprise users can restrict calls with a password, disable the camera and web access or track the location with the GPS sensor.

An MP3 player is built-in, but users only have a 2.5mm headset jack rather than a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. The Taho will come bundled with a 1GB microSD memory card when it arrives on January 9. With a two-year contract, it will cost $100 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
