Spotify Is Now Out for Windows Phone

Spotify at Microsoft’s Windows Phone event in New York City to launch its previously promised Windows Phone app Those who can use the 7.5 update, which should include every Windows Phone owner so far, can get access to the unlimited streaming music service whether on 3G or Wi-Fi. Its interface fits into the Metro look of the OS while still supporting playlists, queues, and interacting with friends.

It’s not clear that offline caching is available for trips, although the app will support music control from the lock screen.

The app should be in the Windows Phone Marketplace effective today. As with other mobile apps, using Spotify on the platform needs a Premium account, which costs $10 in the US. Access is also available in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, France, Spain, and the UK.
