Sony, without fanfair, upgraded its VAIO lines on Sunday with faster CPUs speed and option upgrades.
The VAIO E series gets a faster 2.66GHz Core i5 580M and 2.53GHz Core i5 460M, as well as a new 2GHz Pentium dual-core option for the budget minded. The EA and EB also now have options for Radeon Mobility HD 5650 video with 1080P displays to match. Purple makes a come back as option on the E series.
The VAIO F gets a graphics upgrade with the new GeForce GT 425M. Plus it now comes with single USB 3.0 port along with USB 2.0 connections.
Sony’s primary all-in-one, the 24-inch VAIO L, is getting the option of Blu-ray and the option of a 2TB hard drive. It carries a 2.66GHz Core 2 Quad S with the option of a TV tuner.
