At its Tokyo Game Show 2016 conference, Sony announced two new colors for the PS Vita. Silver and Metallic Red join the likes of Aqua Blue, Neon Orange, and Glacier White in Japan. While Aqua Blue ended up making it stateside exclusively via GameStop, the others did not. The new Vita colors will be available for JPY 18,980.
As for other regions, rumours of it being discontinued have been rumbling for awhile as quantities have been small to begin with. Sony itself has stopped making games for the PS Vita, preferring to focus on third-party successes like Minecraft and getting indie games onto the platform.
