This morning leaked Windows Phone 7 ads surfaced on youtube (videos below). They give us sneak peak into how Microsoft will pitch its mobile OS against its rivals.
Stop and Stare vs Glance and Go
The first ad is little murky in the messaging, at first you might think the Windows Phone 7 phones are so compelling that people are mezmerized by them. In the end what the message is, and what the HTC ad does a quicker job of getting to, is that Windows 7 Phones get your attention off the screen and back out into the world.
Both ads also make clear reference to an AT&T version of the HTC Mondrian whichindicate that it will be one of the launch devices. The phoen should have a 4.3-inch but 800×480 touchscreen, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a five-megapixel camera with 720P recording and 8GB of non-removable storage.
An official appearance for WP7 wil happen at an October 11 open house in New York City. Microsoft may beat the November release in the US with an appearance in late October.
