Slacker has a new version in the works which will soon provide access on-demand content. The Premium edition will expand music availability beyond random selections, allowing subscribers to play individual tracks from a particular artist or any other music in the connected libraries.

Users will be able to access the expanded version from the mobile interface on Blackberry, Android and iPhone handsets, along with the web portal for desktop browsers.

The new content will be available with the same range of features provided with the current Plus offering. Music is provided ad-free, with no limits to skipped tracks, while tracks can be cached for listening when a Wi-Fi or cellular network is unavailable.

Slacker Premium is set to launch in November, bringing the monthly subscription fees up to $10. The Plus service will still be available for $4 each month
