Lionsgate Movies have premiered the teaser trailer and poster for Spiral: From the Book of Saw, a new entry in the horror franchise and one that was conceived by and stars comedian Chris Rock.
Here, brash Detective Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past.
Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game. Samuel L. Jackson co-stars as their police chief.
Darren Lynn Bousman helms the film from a script by Josh Stolberg & Pete Goldfinger based on a story by Rock who executive produces. Mark Burg and Oren Koules produce the film.
Spiral: From the Book of Saw opens May 15th.
