Samsung Teases “Something Big” Coming Oct 11

Samsung has issued another video teaser (watch below) ahead of its special ‘Unpacked’ event on October 11 where it is widely believed the company will unveil the Nexus Prime. The smartphone is also expected to debut Google’s latest mobile OS, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is to unify its smartphone and tablet operating systems. The teaser is promotes the idea that some things go better together and that ‘Another perfect combination is just around the corner.’

The device in the teaser appears to be a smartphone with a curved screen that also appears to follow in the footsteps of the Google Nexus S, also made by Samsung that too, features a curved screen. It specs are thought to be a match for the Galaxy S II HD LTE, but dispense with the touch sensitive controls in favor of software buttons much like in Android 3.0 (Honeycomb).

The Nexus Prime is expected to sport a large 4.6-inch Super AMOLED display that is capable of displaying 720p natively. It is also said to be a high resolution type that almost matches the iPhone 4’s Retina Display at 320 pixels per inch. It is also likely to be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz Samsung Exynos processor and be equipped with LTE-based 4G.

Following it October 11 coming out party, the Nexus Prime is likely to ship by November 4 on Verizon.
