Samsung Invites Press to Photokina Event for Possible NX1 Debut

Samsung has started to tease a “Premiere” event Photokina later this month, one which could be for the launch of a new device in Samsung’s NX camera range. The rumored Samsung NX1 mirrorless camera, shown in brief glimpses on the invitation, will allegedly include a 28-megapixel APS-C CMOS ISOCELL sensor combined with a DRIMe image signal processor.

Details received by Photo Rumors suggest it will have 154 cross-type sensors, an advanced hybrid autofocus system, and as second-generation phase detection autofocus system. An ISO range between 100 and 51,200 is claimed, along with the capability to record 4K video at 30fps and 24fps, and Full HD at up to 60fps. Housed in a magnesium alloy, weather-sealed body, the camera is said to be water and dust-proof, and will feature Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity with mobile devices.
