Ryan Reynolds is a full-blown Son of Sam-style psychopath as Lionsgate delivers the first trailer for The Voices, a darkly comedic thriller from Oscar-nominated Persepolis director Marjane Satrapi.
The Voices is a genre-bending film which centers around Jerry, a lovable but disturbed factory worker who yearns for the attention of a woman in accounting. When their relationship takes a sudden turn, we follow Jerry’s perspective as his talking pets, a sinister cat and benevolent dog, lead him down a fantastical, murderous path.
Besides taking the lead role of the disturbed Jerry, Reynolds also performs all the voices of the animals in the film, which co-stars Anna Kendrick, Gemma Arterton, Adi Shankar and Jacki Weaver. The Voices will be released in theaters and on VOD February 6.
