Roku With Three New Models Tomorrow

Roku is coming to market with three new set-top boxes tomorrow, improving the video quality and capabilities of its products while kepting the same low price from the previous generation. The update comes as Roku with releases from Apple, Google and Boxee looming in the near future.

Folowing the the good, better, best model; there is the entry-level Roku HD for $59.99, the Roku XD for $79.99 and the Roku XD|S for $99.99.

All three of the new products carry the same new form factor, which is slightly smaller than previous Roku boxes. The XD and the XD|S have some advanced features, setting them apart from the Roku HD. First, the XD and XD|S are capable of streaming full 1080P and have 802.11N wireless connectivity  . The XD and XD|S also have a new remote control with instant replay, information and back buttons which are AWOL on the Roku’s basic remote.  

The top of line,  XD|S has optical audio and composite outputs, in addition to the standard HDMI and component outputs on the other two boxes. Plus it has a built-in USB port to watch media from a USB stick.

The new Roku units will still enjoy channels from Amazon VOD, Netflix, Pandora, Major League Baseball, Revision 3 and Blip.tv.
