Rebel Wilson has joined the cast of Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi’s new film Jojo Rabbit at Fox Searchlight.
The WWII satire follows a ten-year-old boy who struggles to find his place in an increasingly Fascist regime and turns to an imaginary friend (Adolf Hitler voiced by Waititi) when faced with the discovery that his mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl in their home.
He progressively begins to see the young girl as human instead of the cruel propaganda being dished out at the youth camp. Wilson will play Fraulein Rahm, a brutish instructor in the Hitler Youth Camp the young man has just been recruited to attend. She joins a cast that also includes Sam Rockwell as the camp’s director.
Filming will get underway shortly in Prague.
