PayPal Expands Its Service Around the Globe

PayPal today announced that it has expanded its service with fully localized sites in Mexico, Hong Kong and Singapore and an improved online experience for customers around the world. PayPal also launched nine new languages on its Web site including Bahasa Indonesian, Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Thai, Traditional Chinese and Turkish.

“e-commerce is growing at an extremely rapid pace and PayPal is committed to supporting the phenomenal rise of online shopping and electronic payments around the globe,” said Philipp Justus, PayPal’s senior vice president of global markets. “These new web sites and languages benefit consumers by making it even easier to buy from merchants around the world and expands our merchants’ access to millions of PayPal account holders, just as we reach the busy Holiday season.”

PayPal has added fully localized sites in Mexico, Hong Kong and Singapore,  bringing the total number of localized PayPal sites to 18.

Additionally, PayPal now delivers more relevant information to its customers in 173 countries and has introduced new PayPal domains for 18 countries, including Argentina, Chile, Hungary, India, Luxembourg, Malta, The Philippines, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Sweden, Taiwan, Turkey and Venezuela. Customers in these countries can access PayPal via a dedicated country domain (for example, https://www.paypal.com.ph for the Philippines) that displays relevant PayPal information and products available in that country.
