Panda Security has updated its Antivirus for windows and released Antivirus for Mac, The new Mac version scans files and e-mail messages for various forms of malware, including viruses, Trojans, adware and keyloggers. It blocks both Mac and Windows threats, and can scan iPads, iPhones and iPods too. Automatic updates keep definitions current.
Two different scanning engines are used: one performs constant real-time monitoring, while the other is triggered only when manually scanning part or all of a system. Users must have Mac OS X 10.5 or later, along with 512MB of RAM and an active Internet connection.
A one-year license costs $50 and covers any updates, upgrades and online technical support during that time. A free demo version is also available.
