New version of OWC’s firmware for its line of SandForce Driven Mercury drives has been released. The v5.0.1 update is strictly a maintenance release and improves both performance and stability. OWC’s proprietary firmware updated, which includes support for all of Apple’s latest Mac models, prevents the need for a PC or a specially designated partition that many SSD updaters require.
