Nyko plans to be ready for the American launch of the Nintendo 3DS with two new accessories to extend its relatively short battery life. The Power Pak+ plugs into the 3DS and roughly doubles the battery life. While it adds extra bulk, it has a debossed surface to improve the grip.
Gamers who use the Power Pak+ often can opt for the Charge Base. It powers up the 3DS directly and comes with a Power Pak+ of its own to extend the longevity.
Either can use the official 3DS AC adapter for a recharge. The Power Pak+ should be available day and date with the 3DS on March 27 for $20. Nyko anticipates that the Charge Base will be ready shortly afterwards around $30.
