Nokia Expected to Announce Lumia 730 at MWC

A new rumor originating from WPDang has Nokia announcing the Lumia 730 phone. It would slot in between the existing Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 and run on the unreleased Windows Phone Tango. It would have similar specs to the 710, but would forego the ClearBlack display and polycarbonate casing.

Unlike the 710’s physical front buttons, it’s said to get capacitive ones, and the case would be curved in the rear, making for a slightly larger handset. The eight-megapixel camera is said to have a similar build to the E7’s. The handset was said to be arriving in Europe first, though its support of LTE and CDMA networks makes it a likely candidate for Verizon in the US and, possibly, Sprint.

Pricing could sit above that of the 710, which costs 270 euros ($370) without a contract. Nokia plans to hold a press conference on February 27 that may introduce the new model.
