NHL Coming to Roku and Boxee

The NHL launched wnet for hat trick today. Beside the already covered GameCenter Love coming to the PS3, the NHL  also added Boxxee and Roku to the mix.

For Boxee’s Mac and Windows apps and the Boxee Box will be supported.      This means Boxee and Roku  fans now have access to live, streaming hockey games, on-demand versions for 48 hours later and the roughly 500 full games and other condensed games in the league’s archive. The game schedules, news and stats are also available.

The same rules apply as elsewhere and only allow watching out-of-market games to protect TV deals.

An annual subscription to GameCenter Live costs $169 per year for full access; access to the NHL Vault archive is available by itself for $5 per month. Boxee and Roku downloads for the app itself appears to be free.
